Our Classes Are the Perfect Fit
The Dance Shoppe recognizes the amazing intellectual, emotional and physical differences that every year makes in early childhood. For this reason, we have classes designed for very specific age groups.
Current classes for Preschoolers, PreK and Kinder students include: Creative Movement (age 3), PreBallet and PreTap (age 4), KinderBallet and KinderTap (age 5), PreKinder Tumbling, Tot Hop and PreK Ballet/Tap/Tumble (ages 4 and 5).

Class Information
Creative Movement
AGE 3
A 30-minute class incorporating basic motor skills and fun! Dancers will learn concepts including levels, shapes, and speed, as well as getting a taste of ballet, tap and tumbling. General classroom rules for a dance class are also introduced. Dancers must be potty trained and be 3 years old by October 31st.
PreBallet
AGE 4
A 30-minute class introducing the beginning fundamentals and terminology of ballet. Dancers learn the grace of this beautiful dance style, and have a great time doing it! Dancers must be 4 years old by October 31st.
PreTap
AGE 4
A 30-minute class introducing the beginning fundamentals and terminology of tap. Dancers learn to make noise in a structured way, with rhythm being a key lesson in this level. Dancers must be 4 years old by October 31st.
KinderBallet
AGE 5
A 30-minute class building on the fundamentals and terminology of ballet. Proper technical execution is emphasized with basic steps, through basic imagery and gentle correction.
KinderTap
AGE 5
A 30-minute class building on the fundamentals and terminology of tap. Rhythm and making music with the feet continue to be main elements of the class, as trickier steps are added on
PreKinder Tumbling
AGES 4 & 5
A 30-minute class that introduces flexibility and stretch to our younger acrobats, as well as basic tumbling skills such as rolls, bridges and cartwheels.
Tot Hop
AGES 4 & 5
A 30-minute class combining upbeat music with the basic elements of hip hop, this class is a great fit for energetic dancers!
PreK Ballet/Tap/Tumble
AGES 4 & 5
An hour-long class covering ballet, tap and tumbling. This is a great opportunity to try all three subjects in a short amount of time! Students will perform only ballet and tap in the recital.
